Presidency meeting - 7 September 2026


The UEF Presidency met online on 7 September 2026 to discuss organisational matters, financial updates and preparations for upcoming events.

A key topic was the transition in the Treasurer position, with Francois-Xavier Nicot agreeing to take on the role until the end of 2026.

Preparations for the Governing Council Meeting (GCM) 2026 in Berlin were reviewed, including the conference programme, speakers, member presentations and an excursion focusing on urban forestry challenges.

The Presidency also discussed the financial situation, outstanding membership fees and the importance of strengthening the organisation’s future leadership and membership engagement.

Updates were shared on European forestry initiatives and upcoming meetings, including the Stakeholder Platform, FORISK, COFFI and the Forest Communication Network.

The meeting reaffirmed UEF’s commitment to international cooperation, active participation in European forestry policy discussions and the promotion of sustainable forest management.
