XXVI UEF Governing Council Meeting, Luxembourg
FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT
DEAR FORESTERS, COLLEAGUES AROUND EUROPE!
The Luxembourg Forester Association (AFL), as a member of the UEF, is pleased to extend an invitation to the UEF Governing Council Meeting 2024.
This year, the event will be held in the heart of Europe, in Luxembourg, from Thursday, September 19th, to Sunday, September 22nd, 2024.
The Council Meeting will convene at the conference centre of the “Cercle Cité” in Luxembourg City. Additionally, there will be field trips to explore the urban forests of Luxembourg City and the region known as “Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland.”
Guests have the option to stay at either the "Novotel Suites Luxembourg" or "Mama Shelter Luxembourg" in the township of Kirchberg, which is located 4 km from the Conference Centre. (15 minutes by Tram)
A seminar on “Biodiversity conservation and forest management in the context of the global climate change – a look at Luxembourg” will take place on 20th of September.
We expect your registrations to the Governing Council Meeting and the Seminar not later, than 1st of July.
The Presidency of UEF has decided to promote the participation of forestry students from the member organizations, by sponsoring one student per organization with a reduction of the participation fee with 50%. Applications for this reduction should be sent by the same date as the registration for the GCM to the treasurer of UEF, François-Xavier Nicot at: francois-xavier.nicot@onf.fr
Please mention in the application the name of the student that will participate from your organization.

Participation fee
The fee per person for participating in the whole programme from 19th to 22th of Septembre in a single room (starting with dinner and ending with breakfast) is 850 EURO.
The fee per person for participating in the whole programme from 19th to 22th of Septembre in a twin room (starting with dinner and ending with breakfast) is 650 EURO.
