Presidency meeting - 31 March 2026


The UEF Presidency met online on 31 March 2026 to review ongoing activities, financial matters and preparations for upcoming meetings and events.

A key topic was the RTM 2026, planned in cooperation with EUSTAFOR and CEPF, focusing on the future of the EU Forest Strategy beyond 2030 and the challenges of climate change.

The Presidency discussed preparations for the Governing Council Meeting (GCM) 2026 and reviewed developments within the Forest Europe process and cooperation with European forestry organisations.

Financial updates confirmed a stable budget situation, while the new UEF website was nearing completion.

Members also discussed membership development, reporting responsibilities and opportunities for cooperation on forestry projects, including climate change adaptation and private forestry networks.

The meeting reaffirmed UEF’s commitment to strengthening European forestry cooperation, promoting sustainable forest management and contributing to discussions on the future of European forest policy.
