Presidency meeting - 20 January 2026


On 20 January 2026, the UEF Presidency held an online meeting to discuss European forestry policy, organisational priorities and upcoming activities.

Key topics included the Forest Europe process, preparations for the June 2026 conference in Stockholm, and discussions on the future of the EU Forest Strategy beyond 2030.

The Presidency approved planned website improvements to enhance mobile accessibility and highlighted membership development as a priority, encouraging closer contact with existing and inactive members and the recruitment of new organisations.

Members also reviewed the financial situation and discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation with European forestry organisations, including EUSTAFOR and CEPF.

The meeting reaffirmed UEF’s commitment to promoting sustainable forest management, strengthening its European network and contributing to the future of European forest policy.
