Presidency Meeting

28 - 28 August 2025

The UEF Presidency met online on 28 August 2025 to review preparations for the upcoming UEF Congress in Bulgaria, scheduled for 12 September 2025 in Ruse. The meeting focused on participation, voting rights, proxies and the arrangements needed to ensure the Congress meets the requirements for a valid quorum. Representatives also reviewed the programme, including the seminar on 11 September and the forest field and cultural programme on 13 September.

A significant part of the meeting was devoted to the Congress agenda and the responsibilities of Presidency members. Key items included the four-year reports, the auditors’ report, approval of the 2026 budget, election of the new Presidency, proposed amendments to the UEF Constitution and adoption of the Action Plan for the next four years. Preparations for voting procedures and candidate presentations were also discussed.

The Presidency further considered the proposal to hold the next General Congress Meeting in Türkiye in October 2026. Members were asked to finalise their presentations and coordinate the remaining organisational tasks ahead of the Congress.

The meeting reaffirmed the importance of careful preparation, transparent governance and active participation by UEF member organisations in shaping the Federation’s future priorities.
