UEF participated in the Joint Meeting of the SFC, CDG on Forestry and Cork, EG on the Implementation of the CAP Strategic Plans Regulation and the WG on Forest and Nature

During two consecutive days UEF Presidency members – Michael Diemer – UEF President and Anna Petrakieva – UEF vice-president participated in two European meeting.

On 30th of March Anna Petrakieva participated in the webinar "Looking to the future of forest ecosystem services in Europe". At the webinar selected conclusions and recommendations based on experiences, practical work and findings on the implementation of FES-related innovations and policy learning, from two European projects, SINCERE and NOBEL were presented.

On 31^st of March the UEF President Michael Diemer participated in the Joint Meeting of the Standing Forestry Committee, Civil Dialogue Group on Forestry and Cork, the Expert Group on the Implementation of the CAP Strategic Plans Regulation and the Working Group on Forest and Nature.

This important meeting was well prepared with the scientific support and went deep into details of the topic of PES (Payments for Ecosystem-Services).

The outcome - EC will prepare a guideline document and each Member states will have to take the appropriate actions in this field.
