YPEF meeting in June 2012

Thomas Baschny represented UEF in the last YPEF meeting in Sagady (Estonia)
The international YPEF Contest Commission met in National park HOTEL Sagadi (Estonia) on 27th and 28th of June 2012 to discuss the organization of the International Contest “Young People in Europeans Forests”. The UEF Secretary Thomas Baschny, who is also a member of the commission, participated in the meeting.This year the event will take place from 26th to 27th of September 2012 in Sagadi (Estonia). 11 teams (2 or 3 students, age 12 – 19 years) from Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Germany, Austria, Greece, Czech Republic, Portugal, Slovenia and Hungary will participate in the contest. The teams will have to pass through two phases of evaluation: - answer to questions about European forests and forestry, nature and animals - a presentation about forests/nature in their home-countries.
The contest is supported by the Polish State Forests and some local sponsors.
