GCM in Finland 2004 - Second announcement

Including the seminar: Forestry and biodiversity in a European frame Dear colleagues around Europe!
We are looking forward to seeing you at the Governing Council Meeting in Finlandfrom 29th September to 3rd October 2004.
Most of the GCM preparatory works have already been completed. In addition to the official meeting there will be interesting presentations and excursions giving you the possibilities to a nice time together, meeting new and old forest colleagues from around Europe. You'll find the detailed GCM programme HERE . REGISTRATION Now is the time for you to fill in the registration form for the Governing Council Meeting. You can either use The Online Registration Form or go to the home page of METO to download a form to fill in and send by fax. Please register before 15th of August 2004 The participation fee per person will be about EUR 410. It includes transportation, hotel accommodation in double rooms, all breakfasts, dinners and lunches. Accommodation in single rooms will cost 32 EUR extra per night. The participation fee can be paid in advance to bank account or in cash to Tiina Hamalainen when arriving to Finland. Information about bank account payment will be given to those, who wish to pay in that way.

ARRIVAL TO FINLAND We wish the UEF representatives to arrive to Helsinki airport on Wednesday, 29th of September. We will drive you from airport to the city of Hyvinkaa and Hotel Rantasipi Sveitsi. Distance between Helsinki Airport and Hyvinkaa is 55 kilometres and about 40 minutes of driving time along Motorway 3.

SEMINAR The seminar-day on 1st of October is entitled "Forestry and biodiversity in a European framework". The participating UEF member organisations are requested to have a maximum 10 minutes presentation covering the item of the seminar.

DEPARTURE FROM FINLAND Departure will be in the morning of 3rd of October. The transportation to the Helsinki Airport will be arranged by the organizers.

TO REMEMBER Personal costs during your stay can be covered in cash (euro) or any international credit card.
Please remember to take your passport with you.
