Professor Ivan Paligorov, President of UBF has been appointed Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Bulgaria.

Professor Ivan Paligorov, President of UBF, a highly committed UEF member, has been appointed Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Bulgaria.

Prof. Paligorov has been a member of the Union of Bulgarian Foresters since 1990, and of the Management Board since 1996. From 1998 to 2000 he was a Deputy Chairman of UBF.

At the meeting of the General Assembly of the Union of Foresters in Bulgaria in 2019, Prof. Dr. Ivan Paligorov was elected President of the Union, leading the Union to this day.

Prof. Pligorov actively participates in the life of the UEF, attending all annual meetings of the Union. At his invitation, Bulgaria also hosted the last UEF Congress, which was held in the city of Ruse, Bulgaria, in September 2025.
