UEF Participated in the “Forest and forestry stakeholder platform” meeting in the beginning of April

The UEF vice-president Hans Jacobs participated in the meeting of the new EU Expert group on “Forest and forestry stakeholder platform” in April.

Several significant topics were included in the meeting agenda:

1. Bioeconomy;
2. CAP;
3. Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) call for proposal 2025 and previous and ongoing projects on forest and forestry
4. Nature Restoration Regulation (TBC);
5. Biodiversity certification and nature credits (TBC);
6. Webinar on Closer to Nature Forest Management certification of 14 March 2025;
7. Workshop on the implementation of the European Commission’s Forest guidelines in the Boreal Region;
8. Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) call for proposal 2025 and previous and ongoing projects on forest and forestry;

Hans Jacobs had an opportunity to participate in the discussions and to share his views on relevant topics. UEF have been appointed as a member of this Expert Group, and thus has a chance to actively participate and contribute by sharing considerations of the UEF members.
