Webinar How political leadership can shape sustainable wood supply in Europe

The International Union of Forest Research Organizations is organizing a webinar "How political leadership can shape sustainable wood supply in Europe (under socioeconomic changes)".

Host of the event will be TEAMING UP 4 FORESTS – a science-business platform initiated by IUFRO and Mondi and it will take place on 23 April 2024, from 14:00-15:15 (CEST).

The webinar will be opened by Alexander Buck, IUFRO Executive Director and the Socioeconomic & political factors influencing wood supply in Europe will be presented by Metodi Sotirov (University of Freiburg), Špela Pezdevšek Malovrh (University of Ljubljana) and Ragnar Jonsson (Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences).

In the Moderated panel discussion will take part Amila Meškin, Senior Policy Advisor, EUSTAFOR, Michael Reinhard, Head of the Forest Division at the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN).
