Young People in European Forests

International Contest YPEF 2010 The Polish State Forests and the Society of Forests' Friends in Poland invite for the first International Contest ”Young People in European Forests” YPEF 2010. Goals of the Contest are as follow: To present forest as a multifunctional ecosystem, To show biological diversity of forests and the need to preserve it, To present the role of forests and forestry in a sustainable development, To promote the Natura 2000 sites in the European forests, To promote each country’s forestry on the background of European forestry, To get acquainted with the national forest parks of Europe, To develop the European forest tourism. The organizers invite all interested forest organizations and associations for the special conference YPEF 2010 October, 22-23, 2009 which will be held in the Forest Culture Center, Go³uchów, Poland (www.okl.sisco.pl). The aim of the conference is to present the idea and the principles of the YPEF 2010 contest and to discuss and to approve the Agreement on participation and the YPEF 2010 Statute.
The costs of the participation in the conference (food and accommodation) are covered by the organizers. Transport for the participants from/to the Warsaw and Poznan airports is provided.
