Civil Dialogue Group on Forestry and Cork discussed New EU Forest Strategy on 7 Oct 2021

On 7 October the Civil Dialaogue Group on Forestry and Cork met in a short webmeeting and the member of the group had the opportunity to comment the new EU Forest Strategy for 2030 after its publication.
Additionally an overview and some informations about the Renewable Energy Directive (RED III), the revised LULUCF Regulation, the Implementation of the the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2020, the EU Nature Restoration Plan and the EU Actions to Halt Deforestation and Forest Degradation were presented by the Commission.
Union of European Foresters (UEF) participated in this webmeeting as member of this group and is now looking forward to more detailed discussions, needed for a successful implementation of the new strategy for 2030.
