GCM 2008 - First Announcement

DEAR COLLEAGUES AROUND EUROPE!
Hereby you are kindly invited to participate in the Governing Council Meeting 2008 of Union of European Foresters. The meeting will be arranged 16th – 19th of October 2008 in Gmunden, Austria. The keynote presentation and excursion part of the meeting will be "Wood and Energy – New possibilities?" (what are the European issues?; what are the potentials of wood biomass?)

Registration
We expect your registrations to the Governing Council Meeting and the Seminar no later than.
26th of September 2008. More information about this can be found on our homepage www.european-foresters.org.
The Presidency of UEF has decided to promote the participation of forestry students from the member organisations by sponsoring one student per organisation with a reduction of the participation fee with 50%. Applications for this reduction should be send by the same date as the registration for the GCM to the secretary of UEF, Mr Marian Stoicescu, by email fed_silva@b.astral.ro. Please mention in the application the name of the student that will participate from your organisation.
We are looking forward to seeing all of you in Gmunden in October.
