UNECE/FAO Workshop Green Forest Jobs: Exploring Opportunities and Increasing the Capacity of UNECE Member States

UNECE-FAO will organize a new workshop related to Green Jobs in Forestry in Geneva (Switzerland), Palais des Nations, from 17 to 19th September 2018.

UEF will attend this meeting and will again actively take part in this process started after Rovaniemi (Finland) action plan.

First on 17-18th September two workshop about Green jobs in forestry will take place:

Introduction and the green jobs concept then Health, well-being and forest recreation.

Optimal forest ecosystems functioning and then supporting further development of green forest jobs.

The wokshop will include presentations on:

Green forest jobs, related concepts and trends. Identification of forest related activities with the highest potential for the creation of green forest jobs.

Focused discussions on job opportunities in health, wellbeing and forest recreation and forest ecosystem management sectors.

Then, 19th September, in the same place, another technical meeting will take place including UEF expert participation.
