New topics on the Brussels agenda for Forestry
On 5th of December 2017, the Civil Dialogue Group on Forestry and Cork and the Standing Forest Committee have had a joint meeting in Brussels.
Michael Diemer, President of UEF, attende this meeting, representing UEF.
While LULUCF and the Bioeconomy are still in discussion, new topics are coming up for 2018.
It is planned to discuss the future of Food and Farming and modernise and simplify the CAP (Common Agricultural Policy) until May 2018.
As a longer lasting process, the review of the EU Forest Strategy has been started by DG Agri and it seems to become one of the main topics of forestry for 2018.
