NEWS ABOUT UEF International field trip “Wind Energy on Forest Sites” in Germany in April

LAST CALL AND NEW DEAD LINE FOR REGISTRATION

More than 300 wind turbines have been built on forest sites in Rhineland-Palatinate in the recent years. A lot of experiences for a compatible implementation of such
projects in the forests were gained.
The Union of European Foresters (UEF) in cooperation with the state forest organization of Rhineland-Palatinate is planning an English spoken excursion on wind energy plants on forest sites in the area of the forest district of Kastellaun for the period 03 to 06 April 2016 and would like to invite foresters from all over Europe to this event.


The following program is planned:
     04.4. Arrival to Mainz at 11h00 and welcome of the participants.

     Lunch, introduction and general informations about wind power in forests and transportation      to Kastelaun
     Visit in wind farm Klosterkumbd and accomodation in hotel and dinner.
     05.4. Experience with an compatible implementation in Forest office Kastellaun.

     Visit in windfarm Faas, Lunch and after lunch:  Financial and contractual aspects

     Visit in wind farm Hochsteinchen, transfer to Mainz 
     Departure of participants around 17h30 


The estimated costs for accommodation, meals and local transportation will be around 115 euros.
